This song is about a heartbreak. In this song they is learning they didn’t really know how bad their significant other was to them. How much they betrayed them. I referred to them as a wall because they would keep them from being themselves or keep them doing from what made them happy. Once they broke down that wall they would finally be free. They had taken a part of them because they feel like they can’t deal with life without them.
